Dental Veneers As part of our cosmetic dental treatments, our office offers dental veneers. Porcelain dental veneers are thin, shell-like slices of ceramic bonded to the front of the teeth. They present an attractive and versatile way to improve your smile, and are used to cover gaps, to reshape chipped teeth or whiten stained teeth. Porcelain is an extremely durable material with a color, translucence and texture that is similar to tooth enamel. Dental veneers produce a very realistic and immediate effect and are not susceptible to decay and resist staining while maintaining a natural appearance.
The dental veneers should last up to 10 years. There are various reasons why the veneers may require replacing. This could range from recession of the gums to fracture of the porcelain.
